I can't say for definite that Barbara closed the shop, she might have sold it, but in 1986 when I visited the Millers Lane estate I could not place the shop from memory, it being 6 years since I last visited there.
There had been some demolition on the estate, because it was probably the worst Council estate in the Borough back then and some of the tenants were scumbags, in some of those maisonettes you could not see the grass in front because of rubbish which had been thrown out of the windows, if one of the scumbags opened a tin of beans, they did not chuck the empty can in the bin, they chucked it out of the window instead

So I concluded at the time that the shop had either been demolished or altered externally to such an extent that it was unrecognisable from how it looked in summer 1980
