Hi Christine
I went in the jaw bone for years when Jack Percival was the landlord it was a rum pub had many many a year of good times. It was full of characters not a bad domino and dart team i'm sure if you mention my name in there someone will know me i now live in the USA.
I was once told that the pub got the name of the Jaw Bone. there once was a bowling green behind the pub and two old codgers where playing bowls and had an argument when one of the old guys broke the others jaw bone so hence the nick name JAW BONE
