Just like to say 1951 when we moved from DG school at 11 years old to Ashton Secondary Modern School it was a big change from a small place like DG, the cavalry was all ready there in the form of the big lads off the estate that had made their mark as being a rough lot, they never stud up for you but everyone knew how far they could go, If a fight brock out they would croup round shouting go-on-knock-his- head-off, he'll not come again even if you loose things like the
