Yes, J.R.. If you asked "have you heard of coal" in Newcastle, you'd get the same reaction. Likewise, if you ask about Manchester United or Liverpool in, say, Barcelona or Madrid.
But, if you went to any non-English speaking country and asked about Wigan Casino, they'd just look at you blankly and ask, "No tinc ni idea de que parles, amic!".
If you wanted to catch a rabbit, you'd go where there are rabbits.
All the main soul venues will be known about by music fans in the capital of soul music.

As it is, there never was a 'Wigan Casino'.
Like there never was a 'Manchester Twisted Wheel', or a 'Tunstall Torch'. It was 'the Casino Club'. Officially. That's what it said on the tin. It just happened to be in Wigan!

It's the way of people from a near proximity to Wigan. They are obsessed with the name and add it to anything else as often as they can.

By the way, that band called "Yeti", did they base their name on that of their lead singer's current car, the Skoda Yeti?
