Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

When I was a lad their was only one bluebell wood even tho as you all say they were all full of bluebells but you could put a name to them all except this Bluebell Wood,

Names of woods--The Cloughing as never been a wood,

The Dell,Downall Green Wood,which was divided by the brook to make two woods one side was Joe Cunliffe's the other side Tom Ferne's,

Then across the railway lines (which I never did)to the Gypsy wood, follow the brook to Low-bank road over to the left was the skitters wood, to the right was the Long Cover and cover to Liverpool Road and Lord Gerard's estate
