Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

I remember Rector Hall's funeral as I was one of the bearers that carried the coffin into the Church the evening before the funeral, it was a very big affair. I was serving in the RAF at the time and wore my uniform. The car he drove was an Austin Seven, can't be sure about the colour, but I think it was black. I remember that he gave me a lift one day, and as I got in, he told me to mind where I put my feet, when I looked down at the floor, I could see the roadway through the holes in the floor, no MOT in those days.
