Hi campfire, I remember jelly sunday very well I walked from 5yrs old to 15yrs old, we used to get all the gear from annie deacon's shop on rectory rd, as Trixie says all the famalies after the event went home for tea and the ladies had been cooking all day, everyone had jelly with whatever {hence} jelly sunday, the blue bell pub and the village club was absouletly packed out, I was also a very good friend of colin hayes and had spent time in the chestnut suite then staggered back to d-green the worse for wear, it's such a pity they do not celebrate jelly sunday like they used to.
