Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

I remember years ago walking up to the Church at Downall Green and the roads being packed with folk, I think it was around May time but not sure ??? The pub had standing room only and everyone was enjoying the day.
Also remember having a pint with Colin Hayes, he moved to Bryn when he got married but always talked about Downall Green at the pit. He once took me to a shed for a pint of home brew and the shed was called the "Chestnut Suite" what a afternnon that was....Does anyone recall the shed?
