Places   (Help with places, streets and buildings in Wigan.)

I know I've been gone too long when a 100 mile round trip is nothing...Years ago after my Mam had died, my Dad came over on a visit and I took him to visit some old friends of mine, who Dad had become good friends with on a previous visit when I lived in Clearwater...
We went for lunch, 200 miles there 200 miles back and Dad couldn't believe it. He said it was like driving to London for lunch, then driving back .. He talked about it for years.
Every where we go if it is out of town is at least 100 miles.. we are only 30 miles from the coast, but that's all it is is coast line, no beach, it is 100 miles to the beach, 200 miles to the nearest big city, east, west or north, cant go south we'd be in the Gulf of Mexico lol...
