Whups: Scientists are blaming methane for climate change and is partly caused by cows emitting methane when they burp. So they propose making cows wear special masks.
The methane expelled by the other end is a bit of a problem and someone suggested some sort of trousers made from strong, thick, impenatrable material such as leather. (Though the cows might object to that choice).
In 2014 the EU imposed a directive outlawing the use of fertilisers on any slope with a gradient of more than 15 per cent.
A farmer in Germany, whose family had grazed their cattle on a local hillside for over 400 years was concerned that Brussels might rule that cow pats constituted a form of fertiliser so he dressed his herd in nappies.

Now, whups, if all farmers did that, so methan can't escape from either end, what will happen? Methane is lighter than air, so will the cows slowly inflate and then, like a hot air balloon, float off?
Serious danger to aircraft, whups, and the bulls and heifers won't be amused, but at least with nappies there's no danger of being hit by cow droppings.

The city men in Brussels are so clever, aren't they whups?
