I was filling my bird feeders this afternoon and noticed a "sell by" date on the packet. Never noticed it before. Do you think it's safe to give the birds out of sell by date seed and treats?

Don't want to end up in prison with Plummy, his pedalling on his exercise bike'd drive me mad. (I'll ask for a different cell).
