Apologies if yoo have read this before, but I never changed from Norweb, in that Norweb's name changed several times as it was sold from company to company, it was United Utilities for a while, owned by the water people, and eventually it was bought by the frogs, and called Eon, and so I had never changed suppliers until the Council, that is our Council, Wigan Council introduced a scheme, whereby if you signed up to an electric supply scheme, then as a bloc, the electric supply companies would bid against each other to supply us with our electricity, and the Wigan Council bloc had as I remember 186,000 members, so the electric companies bid for our custom, and Scottish Power won the auction, so I changed from Eon to Scottish Power following all of the instructions, which were a pain, only to find out that the difference in price between Eon and Scottish Power was a fraction of one percent, and I literally saved 20p a week, and I am all electric, and it is a hefty bill in winter, so I wish I had never bothered with it. ....
