A man who got knocked down by a bus has said, "battling two punctured lungs and bleeding liver was the worst two weeks of my life".
Tommy Papp, from Wigan, said he initially listened to those who told him that using a pedestrian crossing was for girls.
He received critical care in hospital and "lost a half-ounce gold neck-chain and a pair of Gucci shoes during his stay there".
He said his experience had changed his views on running across the road without looking and hoped it would help alter the attitudes of others too.

Another man has died of a pulmonary embolism.
Alf Tickle, also from Wigan, said, (through a medium!), "I'd been waiting for urgent treatment for three months, however, the doctor said that no beds were available due to them all being held on stand-by for the mass influx of covid19 patients, as forecast by that palm-reader on Blackpool pleasure beach and, even if a bed was available, I couldn't be treated until I returned a negative covid19 test".
