Yes, Pewfall, I wouldn't've said that site would be used for a supermarket,but there you go, you never know!
I'd've said it would be a potential site for housing.

You know, Ashton in Makerfield folk are spoiled for choice for shopping. But, you need a car and not everybody has one.
I feel for the elderly. There's a Co-Op in Westhoughton (well, it's something else now), on Market Street. I was in the queue one day, getting a butty and a banana for my lunch. An old lady, in front of me, had just one basket of food etc., along with a loaf. I'd guess at £15 to £20 worth in Aldi or Lidl's. The cashier put it all through, passing it to the old lady, who then put it in her shopping trolley.
When she asked her for £40 odd for payment I couldn't believe what I heard. I could've dropped t'crab!!
All Co-Ops should be closed down, for fraudulent trading!

It was hit hard by the new Aldi, but old folks swear by it! More fool them!
