I have 3 accounts. 2 have a card. Neither of them have an overdraft allowed on them. I keep minimum I need for each month in the accounts, and if I need extra, I transfer from the third. So if I do get scammed, they can only get what's in that account.
Credit cards are different.
Years ago, 2013, I went to pay my barclaycard and found it over £10 grand in debt! (I pay it off each month). I was expecting £50+. Diesel and ebay. Barclays were magnificient, blocked the card, issued new one, sent forms to confirm.
But of course credit cards are covered by their insurance, debit cards are not.
