Most industry has gone. A lot of Wigan residents have found work out of Wigan.
Wigans 'economy' is only healthy due to the extortionate council taxes collected from far outlying areas like Golborne, Lowton, Atherton and parts of Salford. Places where the residents have never been to Wigan and have no interest in it, but who get nothing back from the greedy council who squander their taxes on Wigan alone.
Tourism ???? You're having a laugh?
