General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

I don't 'take the Mick', I don't dislike Wigan, or Wiganers, and I'm not talking about 'central' Wigan either, just Wigan. All I say is that Wigan is a place, clearly marked, as it has always been. I just don't understand why people from other towns insist on trying to be a Wiganer when they clearly are not. Other places are in the 'Borough' of Wigan, yes, but that is purely for administration purposes. Would you call yourself a Leigher if Leigh had been appointed the borough capital town? If you all turn your backs on the small towns and villages that you do belong to, the names of them had may as well be dropped and everywhere will be Wigan. If that happened, nowhere else would have anything, facility wise, because Wigan would bleed all the funds dry for their own ends. They do a good job of fleecing the rest of the borough towns as it is, every town has to fund Wigan whether they like it or not.
