General   (General discussion, talk about anything.)

Having just read a "Turner's Toy Shop" posting on the "People" messageboard (and posting a reply myself), has made me think about those toys that we yearned for in our youth... I was desperate for a Mary Poppins outfit (at a time when such things weren't even available) so my grandma made me one in secret, complete with straw hat. In later years, Spirograph was all the rage. My parents got it wrong though and bought me a really naff, little kid's version called "Spirotot"... The best value for money though, must have been my Raleigh Rebel bike from Whelans bike shop. It was £27 and served me well for many years.
