Good video that

At one time I regularly used to walk to Wigan, and I started off from Worsley Mesnes going exactly the same way you did, which was getting on to the gravel path to Newtown, going past the Red Pond, and coming out at the side of Scroofix, never mind Tool Station, and then it was the slog up Wallgate and into the town centre.
But I wanted to find a different way into Wigan, to avoid more roads, so on the gravel path to the Red Pond, if you go right along the gravel path which leads to the right from the Red Pond, you come to a bridge over Poolstock Brook, and then you go through a wodded area, and you come to a bridge over the River Duggy, and then it's up the path to Fourteen Meadows Road, and then you are on Swan Meadow Road, and that way misses out Newtown, but I have been told that the route is now overgrown and impassable

If yoo had done that ride yesterday, you could have carried on to the Brick Hub, off Caroline Street, and that was where Kay was yesterday with her TV team, and they showed a lot of the bike refurbishment facility, at that hub, so yoo could have told Kay and the viewers about all of your cycling exploits, and how you supported Kevin, and helped him with his bikes, and healthy living style in Westwood
