The full application will (I expect) go ahead. My great worry is that the 'running in tandem' outline application may not be picked up by the 'layperson' - so it is essential that those who wish to preserve what little is left of historic Wigan should send letters of objection... based on the worrying historic assets we have lost and the the remaining icons at serious risk. Perhaps a few quick messages to 'Historic England' may secure listed status (on at least the old Market Hotel alone).
