Ian McCartney did a lot of good work for the people of Wigan when he was in Tony Blair’s cabinet. A lot of cash found it’s way into the health service in Wigan that was in the main down to him.
The opencast at a Windy Arbour would have become a refuse tip had he not secured the funds to prevent it.
