Aprons eh !

They never called them Aprons in Wigan unless yoo were posh, like Mick says they were called Pinnys me mam had a pinny, in fact she had several, and in the 1960s all mums wore head scarfs when they went out, to keep all the smook and muck out of their hair, and in the house they wore a pinny all the time, and they kept their cigs and matches in the pockets of the pinny
