"So, what some of you are saying is, people who don't wear masks can't shop for food and other necessities, even if they're asthmatic, have COPD, people who already have speaking difficulties such as stammering, people who have difficulty breathing or, like myself, claustrophobic?"

They managed in lockdown and survived, they can manage now. There are people to assist and shopping can be delivered. Also, those who are exempt don't need to wear a mask... simple. On another thread I referred to idiots in Wigan town centre. These weren't people without masks, these were ones with masks on which didn't cover their noses, they probably felt they were making a point and were big and clever. However the only point they were making was that they were not as intelligent as the rest of us.

"It's a bit late in the day to start asking people to wear masks in shops after several months of not having to, dontcha think? So, where did this "new" law come from all of a sudden? Having someone "on guard" at shops would be an outrageous violation of our freedom and would, ostensibly, put themselves in danger of being attacked by desperate people who only want to eat, which is a basic human right!!"

Nope, it is simple common sense and the government have made this decision based on information provided to them by individuals far more informed than you or I. Better late than never. You have basic human rights but you do not have the right to put my life at risk with your reckless behaviour.

"Reeediculous! I will not be dictated to by bloody idiots in the Government who don't know their backsides from their elbows and I will NOT cover my face with a skimpy piece of cloth that's as useful as a chocolate fireguard and end up having a panic attack, nor will I be brain-washed, and as long as people continue to believe all the propaganda about this situation then their lives will remain in fear."

The only thing "Reeediculous!" is your selfish, ignorant (in the uninformed sense) "me, me, me" attitude. "Propaganda" "Brainwashed" Listen to your hysteria! It's a piece of cloth on your face for a short while whilst you are in a shop for goodness sake, get a grip. There are people dying and all you are worried about is putting a bit of cloth on your face.

We are all entitled to our opinion Mollie, and on this I will respectfully disagree.
