When I was a lad, and being a 'rocker' was 'all the go', I remember them having such things as - Triton - Tribsa - Norbsa - Norvin - Yick Rockers etc., painted on their backs in white emulsion!

All wore steel-capped boots with the toes polished up, and studded belts. Not all wore a helmet, although several did, in black. One wore a Nazi helmet. Regular visitors were the Horseshoe Rockers, from Parr. Their helmets were open-face, no peak, in red with yellow stripe round the rim. I think they were the first to switch to riding Jap Crap!
Crackpots they were!
