Cyclist are advised to ride two abreast, so that anything over taking them will have to do it as though they are over taking a car.
Nobody complains about police officers riding two abreast.

Its the noise these bikers make when they come up on you doing well over the roads speed limit ,that can shock a motorist into swerving away from them and ending up crashing
