PeeBee - I was under the impression that speed camera detectors are illegal 'to use' anywhere, UK included?

As per L.G., yes, RD's were that popular in the seventies, everybody and his dog had one. So, they were going for a song! I bought several myself. I once bought an RD125, 1975 on a 'N' plate, for £100. A woman in St.Helens said her son had left it in the shed when he moved out and she just wanted it gone!
There's one mon in Haydock who has quite a few RDs. He says they're his 'pension fund' and won't sell any. Yet.
