By 2030 the standard BT phone, will be a broadband only line, a data line, and to make a voice call, it will go via the broadband system, and it is known as a VOIP ~(Voice Over Internet Provider) call.

On top of that BT or should I say 'Open Reach' will be running a fibre optic cable to everyone's house, they have already have connected most of their street cabinets to the fibre optic system, and this will give mega data speeds to all people and businesses
