I know fireworks were/are dangerous, and you should not prick about with them, but I cannot remember ever trying to harm anyone with them ....

Bangers were brilliant though, if you lit one and waited for it to fizz and then put it in water, it shot off like a torpedo, and when it went off it showered everyone with water
