I lived on Whitledge Green which had a bonfire for years and like a lot of blinkers adults watched the bonfire and people letting off fireworks every where. Now I am a lot older I think back and if you look on" photos "will see how much mess there was on the Green for weeks before and after the event.Also even then there were the idiots who though it fun to aim exploding rockets at people or houses
