I'm not sure about gardening weather. The brief opportunity I am currently getting in my garden is spent lugging the watering-can around!

momac, For a couple of years, I have intended to construct an irrigation system like tomplum has done, and showed in a video on here.

Mine would have to be more complex, as I practice crop rotation of the growing beds. I do however already have in stock the micro-bore weep hose that can be pegged out and taken in again, to permit this.

It's the old round tuit problem.

It is on the jobs to do list. Alas, it is forever displaced by more urgent jobs to do. It never gets even close to the top of the list!

So in meantime, I continue to lug the watering can, and very occasionally, break out the hose to give all a good soaking.

Oh how I miss the well that my previous garden had.

Priscus,to have a well must have been lovely..we just have the garden hose
and beloved warpterig can.

I hate setting the hose pipe up,so it's out with the can every time for me. but
...I just look on it as another bit of exercise, although with a poorly hubby at
the moment, exercise is something I don't need..but I just love being in the
garden it's my bit of heaven.

Ann,all the garden Centres were closed, but I believe they're opening
in the next couple of weeks..I have hardly any flowers and just wish I'd got
more packets of seeds before all this covid thing started.
