Ours is regularly missed. I've reported it to them several times, but I don't bother anymore because it's a waste of time!

I've only got an ordinary bin! Do you have to pay extra for a 'miracle bin', Peter?

I live near Preston and have to pay to have my brown bin emptied, last year it was £30 this year £25. Do you all have to pay? I've complained more than one once because my bin wasn't emptied and was told it was because it hadn't been out before 7.30. Rubbish (excuse the pun) but like you say it doesnt get you anywhere.

Linma Wigan do not charge extra to empty any bins YET.Our Green bin is for garden waste and food waste.
Brown bin for recycled plastic/ glass bottles tins.
Blue bin for paper/cardboard tetra packs.
Black bin for non recycled waste crisp packets/bread wrappers polystyrene food trays.
I always put our bins out the night before they are due to be emptied.

latest news is that in some areas bins MAY not get emptied, Do we get a rebate on our rates if this happens?

We pay $9 a month to have our green bin emptied every week. When in Winter they empty it every other week they reduce our charge by $2. Work that out.
