Things not used but are there

Started by: PeterP (11223)

People get annoyed with drivers who do not use the indicators in a vehicle. Many a time there are programmes on tv were visitors knock on a door and there is a door bell push in view. Any thing else that annoys them which are there but not used

I get very annoyed when people forget that the norm is to park on the road/drive or parking space. In stead they think that the pavement is an elongated parking space thus leaving no room for pedestrians.

Berylh there is an estate near me were the council spent a fortune installing double gates and concrete driveways for every house. When you zigzag along the main street most of the drives are not used But the cars are left on the road/

PeterP, although a door bell may be fitted, there's no guarantee of it actually working, and if it was, it might not be possible to hear it from the outside, hence the knock, that's what was mentioned to me by a post office worker.

My neighbours have a large double car garage that has so many gadgets in it that they leave their cars outside. In Winter they start them remotely and leave them running for twenty minutes to warm them up.

broady , I have never been to Canada , one of the few places I still hope to get to. My dads sister married a Canadian pilot in the second World war and she moved to Canada . The family came to Wigan in about 1956 . I was only a kid and can hardly remember my cousins . The girl was Charlotte ,I do not recall the boy. They lived in Trenton , Ontario. Is that a nice place to visit? I am trying to reconnect , but not having any luck with my Canadian family

Aussie,
I have passed through that side of the country but never stopped there. I do expect to be visiting in April this year, when the champions elect of SL, play Toronto. We shall do Niagara etc. at that time. I shall be meeting family who have a six hour flight from Manchester and mine is a four hour plus flight. I live in Alberta which is home to the Rockies and has some beautiful scenery.

Broady, if they did that over here there wouldn't be a car waiting when they came out .
