Crocodile jacket

Mac I wouldn't wear that kind of jacket, the bloke wearing it looks a bit of a twerp too!!!!
They probably pay him the same money to stand there and model it????

Not my cup of tea (think it would look better on a woman) and I certainly wouldn't buy an item of clothing just because it was made from the remains of an animal.
I wear leather shoes and boots because they are comfortable and for no other reason.
I am surprised it is so expensive, given the amount of crocodiles that are being hunted.

Kath, my Mum used to call my Dad a twerp when he walked in with his welly boots over her clean kitchen floor....... Never to his face but so he couldn't hear........

I bet the croc never thought it would have a human inside it in that manner.

The most hated of creatures IMO. When I lived in Malawi a friend of mine had her 4 year old child attacked and dragged into the Shire River, her other child jumped in to save his younger brother, both were never to be seen again

Anyone seen that programme 'Swamp People' on History channel?
They hunt crocs for so many weeks of the year.
Replied: 30th Dec 2012 at 13:55
Yes, VG. I also saw The comedians Sean Locke and Jason Manford hunting them. Not pleasant, but I suppose they get eaten, rather than killed for Sport.

I thought the export / import of crocodile skin items was banned. It certainly is within Europe.

Good point, Tonker!
Google will be asked..

Seems there are strict rules, but permits can be obtained. Maybe the reason the coats are so expensive?
Cites.

I wonder if Samantha Cameron got one of those certificates when she designed that Crocodile handbag?

Another good point, VG...I had a snake belt when I was little, but they were very elastic in those days.
Replied: 30th Dec 2012 at 14:43
Ah snake belts - now they were cool, a quick google reveals they have made a bit of a comeback.

G'day all.....
Up in far north Queensland they farm the crocs for their skin, or it could be near Darwin where the rainfall is measured in meters!!!!

Thanks for the link, Lizzie. A good read.
Phred, and Lizzie, are Croc coats available there, and if so, how much?
(Not that I want one, I just wonder why that ugly coat is priced so wildly.)
