Have you tried using the Google search at the top of screen - I know there are threads that go way back on there.

See if you can think of any specifc terms, or words used, then bung it into the WW google box up there ^^^^^^ beneath where it says classified, forum and communicate.

Simlilarly bung into search engine together with 'wiganworld'.

I remember that.

Explorations or someone posted that their Grandfather or Great Grandfather was engine man.

They also put a link to an updated wigan history site on either 'Wiganworld' or 'Places'

Great those are the pics I remember. I asked because I was looking for pics of Williamsons in Lancaster, which I found but for the life of me I couldn't find Eckersley mill again. Felt sure I had posted them on WW Thanks dostaf

I hope you told her the pictures will vanish from her screen when she closes the window!

(Fact, unlike the 'techies' advice on yesterdays Computer help thread.)

Keep your window open Eront.

But beware of naughty burglar types sneaking round the back.

The WW 'Custom' search doesn't work as well as it used to. It only produces 10 pages of results and very often most of those are taken up by Photo/Album finds.
