You know why, came back all the more when I read your hymn on the Chritmas tree thread.
It's well worth a listen
God "I've got a lovely bit of schtick for you, throw down your staff"

Good Lord, not heard or seen of Fred Harris for many years. Chris Emmett, wasn't he always on that Dusty Bin show 321?

Name rang a bell. Seem to remember him not being funny at all in something or other.

Just listened to it again, very funny indeed. More to the point no one would have had a problem with it then, now, Oy Vey!

Well, they're still broadcasting it, Mester.
I see it as stereotyping in a humerous, rather than malicious way.
Similarly that 'Old Jews Telling Jokes' programme.
Perhaps these stereotypes aren't the flavour of the month, for those people who go out of their way to be offfended on behalf of others.

Indeed, Mester. But then again the Jewish people don't take things too seriously, they like a joke and as you say if they can they laugh at themselves.

The wife just said " He wasn't all that funny on Play School".

I think most peoples/races can, until folk start stirring it.
