School Haircuts
At this time of year it is usual to find articles in the press about kids being excluded due to haircuts.
You can practically put money on it. Little Tyson sent home because his hair is too short, wrong colour, has bullet stripes etc.
Usually had it done during the holidays and regardless of school rules and regs, Mum is always disgruntled.
Cue pic of Mum and Tyson looking stereotypically glum for the local rag.
Anyroad, this year, there's been a nice change to the usual story.

"if i could afford to pay for my own car on top of paying my morgage, full council tax, prescription and dental charges etc etc i would=I WOULD BE ABLE TO BUY ONE"
So it isn't YOUR CAR. You are cheating the taxpayer.
"your moaning about people on benefits then please tell me how i would get to work with out my supposedly free car"
"its not a free car, as people have already told you, it a car paid for from a disabled benefit, which unfortunatley is open to very easy abuse, "
If i could afford to pay for MY car i would?
as i have said before this should have said "my own car"
So it isn't YOUR car at all, liar.

Why don't you tell us why you think you should have a mobility car when you state you aren't disabled?
Your logic seems to be it's because you have a mortgage and have to pay bills!
People like you should be locked up for good!Genuine disabled people hate those who fake disabilities!
You're a disgrace to our great town and the human race!No wonder even your dog can't stand you!

Now, walshy. let us end this now. You don't live on the street I said you did, fine. You weren't in the bookies when I came in, fine. I believe you.
Now, will you be accepting my offer, and meet me tomorrow afternoon on Lidl car park at 2pm.
The offer is there. You can accept it, or refuse it, but you can't be crying anymore about stuff I have or haven't said.
You can even use your owbn (Not free) disability (or not) car.
I am calling your bluff. What say (type) you?

Wrong conclusion eh. You went to the Doctors with a 'wrong conclusion' The Doc examined you, sent you for tests and the results came back negative. This would be within a few short weeks, a couple of Months even. yet you managed to claim DLA and a disability car.
By the way, your words were Missdiagnosed (spelling as is)

I remembered this drivel about school haircuts when I read:
This article
Rules is rules and all that, but if the girl does it on the last week of term there shouldn't be a problem.
Should there?
Replied: 6th Jun 2013 at 16:23
Not sure what I think about it, Dostaf.
It's a great gesture by the girl.
It could possibly be argued she'll get more sponsor monies before school breaks up and friends disperse.
And, as school age children can suffer hair loss due to medical treatments and alopecia etc, do the school rules need to be reviewed?
(I've seen instances on TV where family/friends have shaved their hair off too in support of someone who's has undergone hair loss.)
Replied: 6th Jun 2013 at 17:46
I mentioned at the start of the thread about the usual stories in the press about some kid or other being sent home etc when they started back after the summer, due to extreme haircuts.
That I can fully understand.
Parents know the dress codes and rules when little Johnny/Jenny is accepted into the school.
There are some interesting comments on the Wigantoday article.
This instance is a bit of an oddity as it is at the end of term
If, done in the last week, for example, fellow pupils will be able to see they have sponsored. Hopefully a bit of fun, leg pulling, nothing nasty.
Trouble is, as mentioned in the article, rules are rules.

They are, but sometimes a review might be required. Anyway, the school's decided, as is its right.
Hope she goes ahead with it when she can and lots of positives come from the experience.

Again, they could have been a little more lax, as it is the end of the term/year.
