I suppose if you hooked one up to the mains or filled it with lead yes But unfortunately in this case no.

Tempted to google.

They weren't both found near Bottling Wood, were they?

I'll explain later. Interesting local fact.

So does the black one.

Or is that what you meant.

Iron core is mentioned somewhere.

But I can't see the +ve lead having an iron core.

Have you found them down the back of the couch when hoovering it with a Dyson wand, Eront?

Replied: 6th Jul 2012 at 15:37

Posted by: erontquay (inactive)

Nearly better put you two out of your misery. I hoovered them up this am and they overheated my vac Imont has a lot to answer for. Says he's been looking all over for them. Oh the musket balls were purchase from ebay. Why he wants musket balls is another question, which incidentally I dont need an answer to

I fact, I may add. My sympathies go to Imont, Eront.

How did you not see the tester lead? Was it on a very red carpet?

Replied: 6th Jul 2012 at 15:47

Replied: 6th Jul 2012 at 15:47

well it kept you two out of mischief for a couple of hours, and you no doubt learned summut from google

Replied: 6th Jul 2012 at 15:47

Posted by: dostaf (inactive)

Google me bum.

At least you could have been excused if you'd sucked them up blindly from down the couch.

Note to Imont, check insulation for damage.

Them Dyson brush bars can be brutal.

If you can hoover with a Dyson, can you dyson with a hoover?

Replied: 6th Jul 2012 at 19:07

Now there's a thing about that, Nokomis.

Google has actually become an accepted verb.

Mind you, some book burners frown upon it.

At school we were told "a verb is a doing word"
In those days "doing" was a euphemism for something else so we seven year olds were sniggering behind our hands...although we didn't really know what it was a euphemism for, but we undersood it was something rude.
How times change.

Now come on, "I'll argos value range the rug", or "Blinkin eke I've got to panasonic the carpet again", just doesn't seem to have the right ring to it some how, as, "I'll have a quick hoover".

As far as I know no. But I'll ask her on Monday morning

Replied: 7th Jul 2012 at 15:36

Does she have earphones in?

I often wonder about people who listen to and ignore strange noises coming from a vacuum which obviously has a problem.
