Roadworks

I have noticed where there are temp traffic lights at roadworks the contractors for what ever reason place a road sign right at the front of the lights. You can normaly see the red signal but the amber and green are masked by the sign You would think they would not obstruct the lights

Peter P,
Back in the day the placement of all signs had to conform to what was known as Chapter 8. Local authorities used to be strict in enforcing the regs. May have changed now.

I can't say that I have ever noticed anything like that, the installation temporary traffic signals, doo have to conform to regulations on how they are installed and operated Use of Portable Vehicular Signals

And they need permission from the council Excavation of the Highway

Sometimes the signs get knocked over, and the knocker overer, or another member of the public, will put the signs back in place, but will not put them back in the 'correct' place

Bentlegs there is probably only one gang of workmen who go from one hole to the next hole Once asked why do workmen not stop on one job and was told sometimes they have to wait for a part to be made so they go dig another hole for the same to happen there

Peter you will have seen the results off the one I got from Aldi £20 (but no card with it) --here is one again-- does everything you will ever need, I just set it on scroll every 5 minutes and just pop it in the ciglighter and that's it you can of course zoom in if you wish but this is the wide angle
