Sorry, I-Spy, hope I've not put my foot in it. I'm looking forward to learning your plan.

With all the thousands of tyres around maybe those old shoes could be re-treaded.

When I lived in India over fifty years ago car tyre sandals/shoes were common. We think we are good at recycling but sadly the poorest of the poor in India were streets ahead of where we are even now.

There's now a California-based company called Indosole which recycles tyres from Indonesia ... Over 60,000 tyres have been made into soles for footwear but their goal is to repurpose 1 million. (Link)

Perhaps I-Spy has decided not to disclose his plan as he hopes to 'retire' off the proceeds.

My spare tyre's not that easy to get shod of either, I-Spy. I am trying though, and hoping it's not just a waist of tyre & effort.

Walking's one of the steps I'm taking & I feel miles better for it already. (It's GM Walking Week, 21-29 Oct to help spur us all on.) My further plans include jogging and even 5k's one day. (I've not got too far with that yet, but aim to improve each day - after all, tomorrow is another K.)

Sorry, I-Spy, good luck shifting your gear. Try not to get deflated & you'll soon be on a roll; your great plan rubber stamped and your tyres being soles to the highest bidder.

Yes, keep going, I-Spy.
Just like when learning to do your laces: If at first you don't succeed ... tie and tie again.
