Slop

Started by: britboy (6794)

Soooo.....I broken silence during my quiet time because a great cooking aroma was wafting from the kitchen.
Mrs britboy was using a wok and when I asked what she was cooking she said "slop"!!
So I thought slop can't smell that good!

Here's the ingredients...

Bacon
Broccoli
Green beans
Potato
Onion
Mushroom
Asparagus
Spinach
Diced tomatoes

Start by frying small pieces of bacon in coconut oil, then just throw all the rest in, cover and simmer for 10mins.
Delicious, it was just a case of use up all the veg in the fridge.

Of course with "slop" you can throw in anything you fancy as long as it's edible.

Sooooo....go for it,make your own version of slop!!

I make 'slop' on a regular basis then britboy but I always call it 'stir-fried veg' no bacon but additional leeks and peppers thrown in and I always use Groundnut oil

I do variations of slop then put it through a blender and call it soup.
With a fancy name.

That's it !!!!

Pressure cookie is coming out, lobbies are on the horizon, collect the fixings, prefer beetroot but red cabbage is fine to ..... onward
