Spam E mails

I am currently receiving up to 30 mails a day mainly from american senders,ranging from finance to roof repairs ,Government help etc.
After getting fed up of unsubscribing ,which may have worked in a few cases,I now report them as phishing scams,and then permanantly delete the resultant list .
Do any other WWs receive these repeated emails , and what can be done to put a stop to them apart from a new email address?
I am using Hotmail .

Probably by unsubscribing, you've confirmed your email address as valid and it's been passed on. I suggest setting up new email account. I've never had many problems with Yahoo mail.

You can block spam emails on Yahoo.

This is how I block senders on .gmail

Log into your Gmail account.
Pull up an email from the offending sender. ...
Hit the down arrow to the far right of the sender's name.
Click Block (Sender Name) from the list that drops down.
Press Block to confirm.
