Have you seen this news story - BBC (30/1/14):

"The owner of the Twitter username @N claims it has been stolen from him by a hacker.

He said he had previously been offered $50,000 to sell it and people had tried to "steal" it before.

This time, he said, someone took control of other online accounts he had until he agreed to give it up.
"

My username isn't sought after like Elmos' - no one has said it, but hack shuns speak louder than words.

(I'd miss my moniker, but would try my best to carry on with jo-anne or jo_anne for example )

As to being thought of as wise, thank you, Elmos, but if you saw how I blundered sometimes in real life more whys? than wise might come to mind.

For the benefit of anyone interested:

Blackadder: I seek information about a Wisewoman.
Young Crone: Ah, the Wisewoman... the Wisewoman...

Blackadder: Yes, the Wisewoman.
Young Crone: Two things, my lord, must thee know of the Wisewoman. First, she is...

A...

woman. And second, she is...

Blackadder: Wise?

Young Crone: You do know her then?

Blackadder: No, just a wild stab in the dark which is, incidentally, what you'll be getting if you don't start being a bit more helpful. Do you know where she lives?

I googled 'crone' and found this:

The crone is a stock character in folklore and fairy tale, an old woman. In some stories, she is disagreeable, malicious, or sinister in manner, often with magical or supernatural associations that can make her either helpful or obstructing. The Crone is also an archetypal figure,
>>>>> a Wise Woman.<<<<<
She is marginalized by her exclusion from the reproductive cycle, and her proximity to death places her in contact with occult wisdom. As a character type, the crone shares characteristics with the hag.

A wise woman joke

There were two nuns

One of them was known as Sister Mathematical (SM),

and the other one was known as Sister Logical (SL).

It is getting dark and they are still far away from the convent.

SM: Have you noticed that a man has been following us for the past thirty-eight and a half minutes? I wonder what he wants.

SL: It's logical. He wants to ****us.

SM: Oh, no! At this rate he will reach us in 15 minutes at the most! What can we do?

SL: The only logical thing to do of course is to walk faster.

A little while later.....

SM: It's not working.

SL: Of course it's not working. The man did the only logical thing. He started to walk faster, too.

SM: So, what shall we do? At this rate he will reach us in one minute.

SL: The only logical thing we can do is split. You go that way and I'll go this way. He cannot follow us both.

So the man decided to follow Sister Logical.

Sister Mathematical arrives at the convent and is worried about what has happened to Sister Logical.

Then Sister Logicalarrives.

SM: Sister Logical! Thank God you are here! Tell me what happened!

SL: The only logical thing happened. The man couldn't follow us both, so he followed me

SM: Yes, yes! But what happened then?

SL: The only logical thing happened. I started to run as fast as I could and he started to run as fast as he could.

SM: And?

SL : The only logical thing happened. He reached me.

SM : Oh, dear! What did you do?

SL : The only logical thing to do. I lifted my dress up.

SM : Oh, Sister! What did the man do?

SL: The only logical thing to do. He pulled down his pants.

SM: Oh, no! What happened then?

SL : Isn't it logical, Sister? A nun with her dress up can run faster than a man with his pants down.

That's wise for you

Dostaf responds with this.

Could someone kindly give an October Explanation on my behalf elsewhere, that the term 'tunnelling' and references to 'tunnels' was nothing more than a comparison to digging in disused tunnels and finding entrances to closed (or supposedly closed) threads.

There was no malice whatsoever involved, nor was there an attempt to damage any computers, or indeed th'internet.

Any suggestion otherwise is complete tosh.

Furthermore, I do not care to be called a 'bare faced liar' anywhere. Let alone on a site where I have no right to reply as I was banned from it for whatever reason.

Many thanks.

Based and it was used only once in 94,543 posts on all forums.

Joseph see my 12th May 2015 and 13th Aug 2015. I have still had no reply from Brian. I know he is a busy man but 12 months or longer is a long time without a reply.

Elmos I dont like your insinuation that I am a liar. Produce the evidence that you were "hacked my a male that lives in Manchester, and rides a motorbike. Simple

I should't worry too much folks because Elmos isn't really Elmos, he's just using this account that did belong to him.

So if its invalid how can it come up with a location?

I would expect anyone capable of such a hack to hide their ip address. Anyone who knows how to Google can find out how to, and will know that a similar request easily traces an ip's owner.

I honestly don't think that Brian would go handing IP numbers and locations to any member. I believe that he would have checked it first and seen that it was invalid, after all if the sites security had been breeched that was something to worry about. He certainly wouldn't have known the location from that IP.

Elmos post on Jo Anne's link was him just testing the water to get a reaction, then the silly accusation was put out. Who in their right mind would add that the alleged accused "rides a motorbike". I suggest Elmos/? should apologise for the distress he's caused and withdraw his unfounded accusation.

So, to be clear, You claim to have been hacked by someone from this site, you told Brian. Brian being the site owner, he told you someone from Manchester hacked you. Do you still have the email? By the way IP's can be located to within a street, but anyway, you decided that as this hacker resides in Manchester, he must ride a motorbike. IOf you ghave the evidence, then you should post it, because you are making yourself appear very foolish here.

"No you didn't tell me Joseph 77,i guessed that for myself."

So I will take your accusation as a guess if you are prepared to go so far as guessing the motorbike it, looks like you guessed the IP address too.

Maybe it would be appropriate for Brian to step in and give the correct details to this fairy tale. Or ask for this to be removed on the grounds of conjecture and lies.

So if I posted that I accused you of a crime, it must be true because I typed it on here?
I read the thread and came to the conclusion it is nonsense. I truly hope you aren't picked for jury duty anytime,

Please elaborate and inform everyone of your findings Elmos has confessed to guessing about the motorbike. Read the thread properly before posting silly comments. Isn't hacking someones social media account illegal? I hope that if Brian is interested enough he finds the person or persons that did this. After all the sites security according to Elmos has been breached.

I've no idea who is right, and who is wrong.
I'm just going off what has been posted on this thread.
And it still keeps being revived after over two and a half years. To me it seems like one persons word against another persons word. Up to now its stalemate. 0-0

However, I find this whole episode very bizarre indeed. In fact its getting like a pantomime

No its one persons word, the person who elmos is pointing the finger at is no longer a member. Elmos has posted that he guessed that the alledged hacker rode a motorbike. Confession is good for the soul don't you think
