"If you can't give 100% to rugby then you can't do it justice''

what a fitting tribute to the game from the former British and Irish Lions captain

I thought he would have been a good addition to the Warriors staff!
He was a natural centre and a good one, something that the youth system at Wigan have not produced for years!
A good centre is a must as George Carmont's contract is up shortly, and because the young ones were deemed to be not good enough last year to play on a regular basis!

Kenny,
I understand your point of view and definitely if they are good enough give them a chance.
My point is that I don't subscribe to the view that winning teams ALWAYS produce outstanding players!
It normally means they have decent players and a very good coach or manager, which Shaun Wane is at junior level!
I wish the lad good luck and as a wiganer it would be great if he is successful, but English or british coaches don't normally produce what we expect!

An English coach 'produced' what the Leeds fans didnt 'expect' this season

and a former tough no-nonsense prop at that, who speaks with a strong local dialect

Is that a sign?

Wigvet,
I thought McDermott produced at the end, but the Leeds speccies I spoke to at the exiles match would have got shut there and then!
I don't really have a hang up about the way they speak, accents just indicate where you come from,as long as they are intelligible and put a point of view forward that's understandable it doesn't bother me!
They don't coach scrabble teams

Shaun Wane must have learned something from McGuire.
