We're a blight on the premier league.

Not seen the match so obviously can't comment on the performance but these days it's points that matter, not performance. The way it's looking they are in for a rough ride especially when their own fans seem to want the manager out.How long will he be given to turn things around before it's too late.I know it's still early days yet, but they should be beating teams around them.Just hope they can pull it off for another season.

his mission is to take us down to the fizzy pop league again whilst whelan sells us to the gypsies for scrap .Then the dolmio muppet will go back to sunny espagne.

What an embarrassing initial post from a Rugby mon.

I'd be worrying about the 6000 or so(of which i was one) who turned up for a sudden death playoff to win super duper league if i was you.

Where are the fans for RL?

Jay, the original post talked of a comment by a LATICS fan.I myself followed on with a post referring to the LATICS, so please post a reply about your opinion of the LATICS,and don't veer off the subject of the LATICS by bringing in comments about rugby, maybe not the world wide sport of football, but by far, more SUPERIOR.

More like 5,000 fans from what I saw, and don't forget that some Bolton fans who live in Wigan could have bought their ticket from the DW and not the Reebok like myself.

What's spoiling attendances for the smaller clubs like the Latic's and the Wanderers is games being shown live in pubs.

for a supposed preimership team THERE a disgrace,an embarrassment to the town and the people of wigan

at least the rugby team brought siverware to the town instead of embarrassment every week

not really a good crowd on for a local derby....bearing in mind its only 30 mins away from each other

compared to the norwich swansea game which are about 2.5 hours apart and there were nearly 10,000 more on

attendances at the dw for both codes are adversely affected by tv.nevertheless the use of away fans to denigrate the latics must be passed on to the rugby as well, must have been 6k at the wigan v warrington game from warrington.what was the crowd on that day rugby men,and that was a very important game.its best to keep gobs shut tight if you cant be complimentary. walshy as usual your putting your foot in somewhere very large, wigan rl won the challenge cup but nowt else when it was confidently predicted they would win all three trophies.i was a serious loser on my bet for all three cups, please dont remind me again of my disappiontment.wigan rl won the cup and folded flatter than a pancake not exactly covering theirselves with real glory.best to keep a lid on rugby,s greatness we wer,nt at old trafford.perhaps where not as good as we would like to think.

walshy as usual your putting your foot in somewhere very large

why for stating what people have been saying for a long time

no one expects big crowds for a rl match but they expect an half decent crowd one for a premiership team but that doesnt happen at latics

even when they play teams that are only half an hour away they still dont get good crowds one...........i dont think 18,000+,when they played one of the biggest teams in the world,so called, was a good attendence

tom in response to the fact wigan rl have won 3 times in last three years that team a very big fish in a small pond.latics are a very poor relation to the likes of either end of the east lancs road .money talks big style in football, no comparison whatsoever to rugby. latics have done better than wigan rl in just staying with the big boys.cannot comprehend what goes on in walshy,s mind slagging the latics off as he does.latics have to fight every game theres no easy game in the premiership.wigan rl play walkovers like crusaders, wakefield, harlequins guaranteed twelve points anytime ,nothing like that for the latics

any team in the rugby top flight can beat one another you are having a laugh.crusaders are so small they,ve dropped two divisions in one go.they were a small fish in a small pond.name one crusaders player that could have got in the wigan team.how many pro rugby league clubs 40?how many pro football teams in the uk 150 ? 200? thats my comparison no disrespect to wigan rl,but latics have a much bigger battle to stay in their top flight than the warriors do,end of story.

"wigan rl play walkovers like crusaders, wakefield, harlequins guaranteed twelve points anytime ,nothing like that for the latics"

just to correct you a little with your comments, last season harlequins were bottom, not won a game. wigan were top by a good few points, played awful and lost at home to harlequins. the season before crusaders had only won once, played wigan at home and won.

just wanted to correct you on your assumption of twelve easy points.

i just thought i would post and set the record straight about the so called easy points. obviously you cannot take being corrected just a little. so, as tom say's you have to resort to some other little dig at rugby and the warriors.

i suppose it just shows what i have always known about latics fans, they are either inbred or idiots! unfortunately some people fall into both categories.

I am a season ticket holder at the Warriors but I have to admire the Latics and all connected to them including Uncle Dave. They were a none league club thirty years ago and to have got to the Premiership is nothing short of amazing.

I always want them to win and I hope they continue to stay in the top league.

Another bigoted post from Ian.

I attend both codes and in my judgement Latics attract the far better class of fan.You only need to glance at the books/forums to realise Latics fans are just far superior to the rugby lot.I include the bigot that is Ianc in that.

Surveys suggest that the vast majority of latics fans are from town. The last survey i saw about WiganRLs support suggests less than 60 per cent live in the gigantic Wigan Metropolitan Borough which cover a number of areas.

So why are they not in the minority?

When will jay1 get it into his head that the figure on the Warriors website of supporters outside Wigan is mainly made up of the many Wiganers who live on the fringes of Wigan in places in Bolton, Chorley, West Lancashire and even St Helens and Warrington.

Many of the Latic's supporters are the same!

Go on tell us pal.

Back on topic , No, Latics are not a blight on the EPL. All the little clubs are there on money and /or merit.
And like the Super Whites, Tics don't have any cheatin whingers unlike all the so called elite clubs., who are riddled with 'em . They're the true blight on the Premier League.

Au contraire, Mal75's mate, Small clubs are a credit to the league.
