It's that very generous St Pat's lad Tony as explained to me this morning on another thread
They just don't realise that times are difficult

Do you know some people on here would consider the rise as another piece of masterful marketing!

Just got the Wigan Evening Post it omly works out at £1 a match extra, not too bad really. They are also fetching out a new home shirt again for next season, what happened to the ones which lasted two seasons a few years ago.its all about money having said that i never liked the pink ones anyway,Could be a retro shirt from the shop instead this time.

What I don't like is the two tier banding in the East and West Stands.

Everyone uses the same bars, food outlets and toilets so why two prices?

>baker boy. 2011 season tkt RENEWAL was £156.00 CASH, £171.60. if paid by direct debit. 2012 tkt renewal are ££165.00,CASH, or £181.50 by direct debit. These are concessionary prices, as I am 72. These prices are the same for under 16's,who will feel the increase worse than anyone. Its not a big increase, but, with the rising cost of basic food and heating bills in the past 12 months, and, on basic state pension, I have to consider on what to cut back on next. It must be even Harder for parents with young famiies, as a season tkt for an adult was £247.50,and has gone up to £258.50 by direct debit. These prices are RENEWAL prices, so your lookin' at another £30 to £40 for a 1st time buyer

They would even more supporters if they only charged half price for Juniors and Seniors.

Still cracking value for money! How they have kept the increase down to a paltry 6% baffles me! Well done WRLFC. STILL the peoples choice.

so its cheaper to be a latics fan,6% is a big increase especially for pensioners who may rely on interst from their savings to bolster the state pension ,after all the bank of england base rate is still at 1/2 a per cent

I don't think i'll bother this year.

I'd have gone to the 'world' club challenge but i don't think that's happening.

if you look on Wigan fans site their is some suggestion that some 'home games' will be played on the road in Wales as part of the Gareth Thomas deal beware if you are not able to travel

They manage it in football where it is far dearer.

save your money off your 2 jobs......and maybe you might be able to afford to go to some away games and watch the team you call "support"

Fair point Jay, just as a lot of folk didn't bother about the Carling cup, FA cup, European cup, Prem title and Egg cup...

i think support for both clubs is running neck and neck, the rugby used to have more but premier league footy is making a difference.

football is in a heap of trouble in the next twelve months there will be some more of the likes of plymouth next year govt says finances must be strictly adhered to exact guidelines how many clubs will be swimming then? why do the glazers have to look east for cash, and the mancs are the most successful in recent years 250 k pw for the likes of tevez and rooney its obscene when other folk are struggling just to pay the mortgage
