My night watching Sport!

Started by: fossil (7728)

Watched the cricket in the pub till the rain came down, went home and a feast of cricket, rugby league and tennis all about the same time!
My view is that England improve at cricket every match they play,Andy Murray is very good but he will never be an all time great, even though he is probably the best ever British player, and Warrington look to be formidable opposition for the Warriors in the next few weeks!
Two good teams hope they both get to the play off final.
Look forward to tomorrow Masked Marvel EW in the Leger, and a good performance for the latics

love football and cricket but if i was only allowed to watch one sport i'd would have to choose cricket, fist test match i ever saw was at old trafford i think the year was 1963 england v west indies players like wes hall, charlie griffiths, basil butcher.alvin kallicheran, deryck murray, lance gibbs, and the likes of trueman, dexter, edrich, cowdrey, barrington for england, not sure if lancashire's pullar and statham played in that test match, i remember we lost the series 3-1

I went to the first day of the 1956 test at Old Trafford both Peter Richardson and the Reverend David Shepherd getting a ton,and also Jim Laker took 19 wickets in the match.
Some famous aussies and English players in both teams,Peter May,Colin Cowdrey,Evans, Bailey and Statham for us and Lindwall,Miller ,Benaud and Neal Harvey for them!
Great day and great weather
