Leeds struggling to sell Wembley tickets!!
whilst Wiganers have snapped up 20,000 tickets, and are hoping to have nearer 30,000 fans there on the day, the signs from over the hill are not as 'rosy'
this from the Yorkshire Post
CUP finalists Leeds Rhinos are hoping for a late surge after disappointing Wembley ticket sales.
The first week before the Carnegie Challenge Cup showpiece against Wigan Warriors, on August 27, saw Leeds sell around 4,500 fewer tickets than last year.
Wigan’s initial allocation is understood to be virtually sold out and Rhinos chief executive Gary Hetherington said: “We are faced with the possibility of having to send Wigan some of our tickets. It will be very disappointing if we have to do that.”

A few lads at work got their tickets from RL headquaters, but dont know if they will be in the "Wigan" end, what a fantastic contrast in colours the stadium will be
Lets hope it's a good final

I honestly hopes it sells out,it's good for nobody if there are empty seats at a cup final.
It is worrying if the two best supported team in RL,can't sell the final out.
I'm not sure if Yorkshire fans are a little tighter but they don't seem to travel as well has Lancashire fans.

Jay,
I don't know how to put links on but if you google Stephen Corless and Wigan Rugby there is a song that you should learn the words of before the 27th.

I'm not sure if i'll be singing anything but i've a suspicion i may know the song you're talking about.
I am intending to buy my eldest a WiganRL top or tshirt to go down in tomorrow. My first ever purchase of WiganRL merchandise.
Might even buy myself something even though red has never really suited me.

well lets hope that them lot on mudhutters dont class him as a thug and a bully
funny how you will go to wembley to watch a sport where you fear for your own safety and to watch a team that "are a disgrace" which is going to be all day of a job
but yet you dont go to away games to watch the team you call "support"

True,Farrie.
I know a few older fans who are missing the trip because they have nobody to go with.Shame really.

well Jay if you really 'know a few older fans who are missing the trip because they have nobody to go with'
why not introduce them and then they can go together!
then its not a ''shame really''

I think Wigan bought nearer 40 thousand tickets in 85 against Hull, which turned out to be a classic

UTT,those days are gone.
Wigvet,i've heard that has the reason for not going by quite a few people. If they want me to intervene and if they want to go with a relative stranger is a different matter.

Super League sold out years ago...
You've got to admit it, but the current state of affairs is appalling...
It's not worth watching anymore...
Shame...

Jarvo watched some of the Wolves game today, must admit I was glued to the screen for almost a minute. Still you can always dream of having someone as exciting as Sam

The Tomkins brothers are what's wrong with Rugby League: two arrogant thugs...
Wigan Rugby died when they let that cheat Hock back...THAT WAS A DISGRACEFUL DECISION...

jarvo,
Suggest you bask in Wolves average start to the season and stop talking shi** when Pis***. Failing that stick to your mediocre poetry.

Jarvo I'll be at Wembley next Saturday cheering on the mighty Wigan Rugby, if you look out for me I'll be the one in a Red and White shirt
Looking forward to the next visit to Wembley with the Wolves, not sure how long it will be though
ps I wouldn't have let Hock back into Rugby League, I would have made him go into Football or Rugby Yawnion where they are not as strict on Drug Abuse

i remember in the late 80's eraly 90's that almost every shop in town would have its front window all decked out in the colours with balloons and the like - that tailed off a bit towards the end too - shame - used to look really good and get you all excited about the trip down south!
Leave Wigan 9.30 am...
Back in Wigan 9.40pm....
Anvil 9.45.....

Im sorry you think that about the Tomkins brothers jarvo, they come across as two down to earth good young lads. And Sam is as good as anyone playing the game at the moment. But then when you come out with statments that Peter Knowles was a great player, i do tend to take what what you say tongue in cheek.
