After the decision today by Newcastle to give Joey Barton a free transfer, because of his twittering and criticising the NUFC board, isn't it about time that this networking site is banned for football players,as this isn't the first time that clubs have been ridiculed by contracted players!

fossil,

Did you read that Gordon Taylor settled for around 700,000 with the NOW in the phone tapping scandal. Who would ever want to know what he is talking about.

He represents some very high profile newsworthy individuals,so he needed hacking

The thing about the Gordon Taylor hacking is he agreed the settlement on the understanding he kept quiet (before the dirt hit the fan by all accounts). You'd have thought being the players Union boss he would have been shouting from the roof tops to warn his members.
Already the highest paid union boss in the country no less,
but I suppose every little helps!
