Warriors cruise it.

Started by: curly (1064)

Warriors cruised to an emphatic win over 2nd placed Huddersfield Giants by 46pts to 12 pts. pleasing to see Gaz Hock back and the way the South Stand booed Sam Tomkins in fun only for Sam to give them the Thunbs down when he scored a hat trick.

May I just add, that young Sam Tomkins mentioned a brave young lad (BAILEY FOSTER)who is in China having stem cell treatment

Well done to both of them

Brilliant display tonight - does not get much better than that!

But I'm fed up of hearing about the return of Hock as if he is some kind of rugby mega star; we are not welcoming back Jason Robinson or Andy Farrell

He is not a world class player returning from the wilderness, but an average player returning from a drugs ban!

Quite simply, he now has to earn respect and the first question to him from any Wigan supporter should not be ‘are you glad to be back?’ but.....

‘have you learnt your lesson?’

Hock's said sorry and apart from a spell in the stocks at Standish I dont know what else people want from him. He's been given a chance, its up to him now. If he cocks it up he cant blame anybody but himself.
he might not be a world class player like wigvet says, but he's got the potential to be one.
I hope he succeeds.

Here here I-spy spot on with the comments nobody has stated that Hock is world class and as you say he has served his ban. What do people want of the lad perhaps if they knew what the Wigan club have put him through during his 2 year ban they might think again. Hard labour building sites labouring all hours army training and for nothing. I think he has learned a lot thanks to Maguire and Wane.

Wigvet,
My opinion is that you underestimate Hock's abilities. He was an outstanding International at the time of his ban. He will certainly (in my opinion) adds some steel to the Wigan pack. He did the crime and has done the time. Time to move on.

Good all round defence by Wigan, keep up the momentum and they should win against Warrinton in the cup has long as there is a unbiased ref/linesmen.Very good win for Wigan but ref did not apply 10yd rule and has usual some off the ball incidents went unnoticed by the officials

I could not have put it better myself!

And at least HE has remained loyal to Wigan, which is more then can be said for others who played for Wigan but defected to the other code.

a splendid win for wigan which makes me wonder if Huddersfield are in a false position ,Wigan were far superior, is it Leeds next up , they should be easy ,as
I see it only the wire can stop wigan from cleaning up this year, also my congratulations to my own team Leifg on a splendid 36-14 victory over toulouse to retain top spot in the Championship.

Well done to Leigh.

Peawapp do Leigh's top players prepare for a big game on a Saturday by spending the afternoon losing 50 quid a spin on the roulette in town centre bookmakers like some of WiganRL's esteemed young guns do?

On RL,Leeds do seem to have gone.

I wouldn't rule Huddersfield out of competition yet as they seem capable on their day.At a push though,i'm going for Wolves to win the super duper league competition and WiganRL to finally get back to Wembley and chalk an easy and emphatic win up against whoever they meet.

Similar to seeing the Latics players in the CASINOS around Manchester ,Liverpool and Chester etc. You certainly will never see them in the shops around town, maybe Hale or Alderley Edge close to their houses. At least the rugby lads help the local economy
