Poor treatment for our Sam

Started by: i-spy (15252)

Tomkins was booed every time he had the ball by the so-called fans at Headingley where the mercenaries deservedly beat England.
I suppose that's the price you pay if you're a top player who happens to play for Wigan.
Pathetic.

I went to the match ,and to be honest up to the last ten minutes it was a bit boring!
The crowd as you would expect was predominately from Leeds which I thought was in England, but most of them seemed to be supporting the exiles
There were several shouting comments aimed at the players from down under regarding their sexual behaviour with wool producing animals, but I don't suppose you could class that as racist at a rugby ground
Any way the best team won,and i-spy is right the treatment of Sam Tomkins was despicable, and didn't do rugby league any favours.

Remember Ellery playing at Central Park in a Bradford shirt and receiving similar treatment and my dad turning round in explantion and saying..... 'they never boo a bad un'

Envy from the Leeds fans towards young Sam because they realise their current side does not have a single player 'to lace his boots'

Although Sam is sometimes a little selfish in his distribution, he is without doubt the finest young talent to come into British RL since probably Andy Farrell. Great to watch and capable of turning a game on it's head. I have heard him "booed" on numerous occasions but as the saying goes "Jealousy will get you nowhere"

I was looking forward to seeing young Tomkins, but I thought he was very ordinary on the night!
Englands best player was Luke Robinson, why he was substituted was beyond me!
The exiles stand off Rangi Chase was in a different class to the rest, his footwork is exceptional.
England seemed to be very poorly drilled, and up to Westwood putting in two big tackles they weren,t fired up for it either!
Also it was a very poor venue,in a very dilapidated stadium with terrible parking facilities!

glad to see Jamie Peacock slam the Leeds fans who targeted Sam.
He says it was disgraceful and he's dead right.

it is a fact that the people who booed Sam had payed their money and as such were perfectly entitled to boo whoever thay wanted, that's why they go

The more they boo, the more Sam, his brother and the rest of the Wigan team will raise their game.

Keep booing, idiots!
